In its search for an External Member to join the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee, HM Treasury turned to Sapphire Partners for assistance. Today, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has announced that Jonathan Hall has been appointed in the roll.
Jonathan has 25 years’ experience working in the financial markets, most recently as a Portfolio Manager at Eisler Capital and previously as a Partner at Goldman Sachs. He will serve a three-year term, which will begin on 1 September 2020. His appointment fills the position previously held by Martin Taylor, who stepped down from the Committee at the end of March 2020.
